Introduction:
Mr. Horsley was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and grew up in Carrollton, Georgia before moving to North Georgia to practice law in 2005.
Education:
Mr. Horsley received his B.A. cum laude from Georgia State University. In 2003, Mr. Horsley graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law. While at the University of Georgia Mr. Horsley was inducted into the Order of the Barristers based on his excellence in the art of courtroom advocacy. Mr. Horsley received an LL.M. degree from Leiden University in 2004. During his studies at Leiden University Mr. Horsley was on the winning team at the world finals of the Manfred-Lachs Moot Court Competition and received the award for best brief.
Background:
Mr. Horsley began working in the fields of criminal defense law and civil litigation during his time at the University of Georgia. After an internship with NASA Headquarters in Washington D.C., Mr. Horsley worked for the Northeastern Judicial Circuit Office of the Public Defender and gained invaluable trial experience successfully representing clients accused of a wide variety of criminal offenses. In 2007 Mr. Horsley joined Kimmey & Associates, P.C. and has been managing the North Georgia office since that time.
As of October 1, 2010 our firm became known as Kimmey, Murphy & Horsley, P.C.
